Our group of 11 volunteers is here to volunteer!

You might know that a group of volunteers from the Katimavik program is currently in your community. The youths aged 17 to 21 years old from all parts of the country live together and are volunteering with many organizations like the Canadian Red Cross, Aids PEI, Habitat for Humanity, Voluntary Resource Centre, etc.

Our group of 11 volunteers is here to volunteer!

We would be interested and available to give you a hand with what your organization needs. Whether it’s for manual work, a special project, a decoration project, or facilitating an event. There are many possibilities for volunteers to help out! It will be our  pleasure to join you to bring additional resources and introduce you to our dynamic volunteers!

Are you a non-profit organization and you’re looking for additional manpower? Do you believe in our youth and you want to get involve with the most important youth program in the country? Since 1977, Katimavik has supported the development and realisation of countless community projects initiated locally that respond to the needs of our communities.

Feel free to contact us and tell us about your needs.

Discover Canada without leaving your house!

Katimavik, Canada’s leading national youth service program is proposing that you become a host family for one of the volunteers that temporally reside in your community. The young adults range from 17 to 21 years of age and come from all over Canada. Here is your chance to get to know a young person who is presently volunteering in your community while introducing them to your way of living!

As part of the Katimavik program, participants stay with a host family of the region in order to better understand their reality and culture. For some participants, this is also an excellent opportunity to benefit from a full-fledged linguistic immersion. This precious experience will be filled with discoveries for both your family and the volunteer. The volunteers work during the day from Monday to Friday so they will experience your family life during evenings and weekends.

When and how can you become a billeting family?

From February 17th to 26th
