For the sixth year, the Cavendish Beach Music Festival presented by Bell has been nominated for the Canadian Country Music Association’s award for Country Festival, Fair or Exhibition of the Year.
The Festival is in the running with four other Canadian music festivals.
Centerfield Music Festival – St. Paul, AB
Boots and Hearts Music Festival – Oro-Medonte, ON
Calgary Stampede – Calgary, AB
Diesel Bird Digital Music Festival – Online
Jeff Squires, president and CEO of Whitecap Entertainment, the organization behind the festival, says “We’re humbled to receive this nomination for a sixth year, winning twice previously. It’s not a small feat to be recognized by industry as a great Country Festival with so many amazing events happening around our country.” Added Squires, “I am incredibly proud of this festival and the country music festival community, especially this year with so many unknowns. We can’t wait to celebrate our industry this September.” The annual awards are voted on by colleagues in the industry from across Canada and the awards will be presented on September 27th.
In 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Cavendish Beach Music Festival was forced to cancel, however, the festival quickly adapted to transform into the Cavendish Beach Drive-In Concert Series. Attendees from within the Atlantic Bubble are able to attend PEI’s only live drive-in concert with live performances from local artists on the main stage at the Cavendish Beach Events Centre. There are three remaining shows to take in this summer on July 25th, August 8th, and August 29th. Tickets are available now at cavendishbeachmusic.com.
