Charlottetown’s Red Island Cider is excited to have its flagship product available in Island liquor stores.
Father Walker’s Dry Cider hit the shelves just in time for Labour Day weekend. Father Walker’s is a dry cider in the traditional English style; light, crisp and sparkling. The cider is named after an infamous church picnic that happened 120 years ago. The parish priest, the aforementioned Father Walker, provided picnic goers with apple juice. Little did he know he had accidentally ordered hard cider. The picnic was a success and the funds raised for the church exceeded expectations.
Red Island Cider plans on having more products available through the liquor stores soon.
